Renewable heat supplier for large-scale copper and lithium mines

Newheat x Sunmark CHILE
A strategic alliance to decarbonise large-scale industrial heating
Newheat, based in France, is a provider of renewable and sustainable heat. Since 2015, the company has been developing, designing, financing and operating thermal plants that combine solar thermal energy, heat recovery, short- and long-term thermal storage, optimised electrification and, as a backup, combustion of renewable resources. The team specialises in thermal system modelling, design and control, and has extensive experience in the remote operation of plants, pursuing continuous innovation.
Sunmark Chile, has more than 15 years of experience in the design and construction of solar thermal power and seasonal pit-storage systems. One of its flagship projects is the Pampa Elvira solar thermal plant for CODELCO’s copper mine in Chile, one of the largest in the world. It benefits from more than 100 projects built in Denmark, Europe and Asia, with the contribution of Hans Grydehoj, partner of Sunmark Chile and founder of the Danish company Sunmark A/S, created in 2008.
Newheat and Sunmark Chile have joined forces in a joint venture to tackle a major challenge: decarbonising large-scale copper and lithium mines, worldwide.
This collaboration brings together two complementary areas of expertise and a shared ambition: to offer reliable and competitive renewable heating solutions tailored to the specific needs of each site and industry.
